07.08.2005: THE SMALLEST LASERTAG IN THE WORLD

Tiny Tag's two-inch battery-powered devices can fire up to 50 feet away, and if you're hit seven times the little suckers call you a loser. Sean, the kid who invented this lasertag, tells: "...I accidentally invented TinyTag (TM) when I was in kindergarten. My dad helped me build it. My neighbor Matthew wrote the software. His uncle Bob from NASA helped with the electrical stuff. We made the first one in a toaster oven. It uses the same technology as a channel turner. In fact, you can even use a channel turner to play. To play, just aim at another TinyTag (TM) and push the button. The first one to tag an opponent seven times - wins! That's my annoying older brother James' voice you hear when you get hit." The gadgets are sold at the price of 14 USD per couple (you can buy them on-line, as well). Read more »

The key-note of the traditional annual Lasertag market survey (in Russian only) done by Trutnee is the prognosis for the new western lasertag brands' entering the ex-USSR market in the nearest future. We have some strong feeling that within a year or two the number of the lasertag types which are present here will be greatly enlarged.
