15.04.2008: What systems are used at laser tag sites located at the territory of NIS and Baltic countries?

The diagram shown above represents the calculated quantity of different types of laser tag systems as per April, 2008. "Zone" graph includes MegaZone (all versions) and Nexus systems. Laser Blast, LaserForce and Laser Force Plus systems constitute 3% each, the other systems (without percents indicated at the diagram) constitute less than 3% each.

05.04.2004: LASER CHASER INTRODUCES AN OUTDOOR LASERTAG
They have announced the creation of new outdoor lasertag system which is claimed to be even more realistic than other outdoor lasertags are. The gun is connected to a band of sensors that can be mounted to a hat or a helmet, providing 360 degree target. The gun barrel also has a sensor built into it. Other equipment options are: scope, LCD display, grenade launcher for gun, data terminal and scoring software to generate detailed score cards. Pricing for guns starts at $950 each. New laser-shooting equipment has been released in Russia: using a special laser fixing, you're able to zap targets in shooting-gallery using real Kalashnikov machine gun and Makarov pistol. 25.12.2003: LTMSA: NEW LASERTAG ASSOCIATION
A group of 11 laser tag manufacturers and suppliers joined together to form the Laser Tag Manufacturers and Suppliers Association (LTMSA). The International Association for the Leisure and Entertainment Industry (IALEI) was chosen by the group as the management entity for the new association. The goals of the organization are to expand laser tag through various programs to provide information and education to existing operators and to those who are considering opening a laser tag facility or adding it to an existing facility... Nicole Lander, Director (Laser Skirmish / Battle Field Sports): "In South East Queensland, Laser Skirmish has now grown to 90 guns and this is still not enough, so we are making 50 of the new Commando models, adding 4 new pulse rifles with red dot scopes plus at least 10 of the new Berserker Mark II's over the next few months...". They have introduced new and very cool bonus in Spider club in Donetsk, Ukraine (LaserForce equipment). From now on, everyone buying a 30-minutes' game time, receives a bottle of beer (or juice - depending on his age) as a present - for free. 09.09.2003: NEW VERSION OF RUSSIAN LASERTAG ATAKA HAS BEEN RELEASED
Recently they have announced the release of a new version of Ataka lasertag, designed and manufactured in Russia. This is the second version of the equipment since 2001. New Ataka has both vests and phasor redesigned; the electronic components have been much improved, too. You can use three and more bases, playing three and more teams as well. By now, Ataka is the only commercial indoor lasertag manufactured in Russian Federation.

Our Internet surfers have detected a new web-site devoted to the lasertag equipment which greatly impressed everyone here in Russia. The site's introduction says, "Extreme Laser Tag is a reality based combat game that is taking the world by storm. 01.08.2003: NEW WIRELESS HANDHELD CONTROLLER BY STUNNER
We'd like to stress your attention on the wireless handheld controller (Marshal) of the new type, presented by Stunner Corp. The marvellous device, being a standart Marshal in its origin, uses a small touchscreen handheld computer running the Microsoft WindowsCE operating system. To communicate with the game control computer over a 2.4Ghz wireless link is used. The handheld controller works up to 150 feet away from the wireless access point and can be used through walls and obstacles. Read more »
20.07.2003: EUROPEAN LASER QUEST CHAMPIONSHIP (ELC)
The first ELC event was held in January 2001 and proved to be a big success, with 14 teams attending from the UK and Holland. Games were played at both Woking and Guildford Laser Quest centres. In 2003, they had much more teams, and also representation from France, as well as from the UK and Holland. The Cup Winners this year were guys from The Tribe Called Quest, Guildford (UK).
