« back | 14.03.2006: LASER CLUB: UNIQUE LASERTAG SYSTEM MANUFACTURED IN RUSSIA

LaserClub equipment is a new generation of lasertag games with real time radio communication between vests and computer. This means that each player and spectators can observe information about each player’s and team’s score immediately during the game on monitors in arena or in waiting location.

Advantages of  the LaserClub equipment are:
- vest’s design leaves the player’s body maximum open and doesn’t hinder heat exchange with environment. It also doesn’t cause plentiful perspiration inducing during the game like with the use of  vests with various shoulder overlays. Made lighter vests allows children from 5 years old to play laser games;
- four teams simultaneously available: red, green, blue, solo (no teams – everybody plays on their own);
(of course you can organize two or three teams);
- the possibility of deleting and adding new players even during the game;
- each player takes part in the game under his name or nickname that appears on the monitors and the score sheets; (not under vest’s number);
- the employment of barcode scanner makes entering player’s name in the computer instantaneous;
- it is now possible to play almost in the dark arena because of the vests bright light illumination;
- there are the vibrators inside the vests that intensify at defeat;
- IR sensors are on the front side, rear side and on the gun; sensors register each hit;
- operator due to players wishes can change all the game parameters: time of the vest’s block (dead time) after hit, number of shoots, number of lives, gun’s trigger delay between shoots etc. That allows to complicate or simplify the game for various categories of players;
- all the target/base parameters can be programmed: dead time, delay between shoots, color of the base, immunity to the shoots of each team (amount of targets/bases in one equipment set can reach the number of 30);
- operator can program the number of points that are charged at a hit in base and at a defeat of the opponent in a front or back part of the vest and also in shoulders and the weapon (usually for hit in a front part of the vest or in a base is charged the maximal number of points, and for defeat in the weapon - minimal). The number of points removed from the player if hit are also programmed;
- the opportunity of defeating the players from the same team (the player who has got in is fined) is programmed;
- there are specified in reports: a place in game, a place in a team, number of hits and points from all gauges of a vest (a front part, a back part, shoulders, the weapon) with the names getting and struck;
- voice messages inform players about all game’s events (start, stop, hit the target) automatically. Music during the game starts automatically too;
- date and time of each game with numbers of players are recorded in the coded and password protected statistic files;
- in rare cases it is needed to correct the game results for the benefit of this or that player, for example, at collective children visiting when the parents who have paid and itself a person celebrating his birthday would like to receive moral satisfaction from the first place (an option opens with the password);

During the game all data about hit and shoot of each player are stored in the vest’s electronic memory. If player is located inside the range of radio receivers all stored data are transferred to the main computer immediately. Computer analyzes data received and displays the scores on the monitor. If the player has left the limits of radio receivers action the information from his vest sooner or later will be transferred to a computer as after the end of the game blaster it is automatically blocked, light-emiting diode on a vest are switched off (that is also signaled by sound effects), players come back to initial positions, appearing in an operative range of a radio receiver. Such situations are possible in a game on an open district or in the labyrinths having «dead zones» in their architectural features.

Software runs under the Windows OS and on a computer with several video outputs connected to operator’s monitor and one or more score monitors.

Targets/bases have a relay output for activating other electronic or mechanical equipment for additional effects like, soap bubble generator, air fan, robots which can move if luckily hit, animation etc. Laser Club Ltd. can construct a robot for a matter of your wishes.

Laser Club Ltd. has developed Voice Operated Phaser (VOP). It is a gun fastened on a head and controlled by a voice. The shot is made with the help of a voice command that exempts hands for management of any means of transportation. The aiming is carried out by positioning a head. With help of the VOP it is possible to combine races on minicars, bicycles and so forth with laser games. In addition the game with head shooters represents rather cheerful show when players in eager rivalry start to cry out commands.

Optionally the attraction of laser games can be supplied with the local positioning system to find location of each player in real time. It allows to put on the monitor a symbolical picture of distribution of all players in a labyrinth according to division into teams.

The complete set of the equipment consists of the following components:
- the main computer managing all process of game;
- the monitor of the operator;
- the monitor established in a hall to display the results of the games (it can be added still with the several monitors located both in a labyrinth, and in other places of an institution);
- vests with blasters;
- charging devices;
- the peripheral devices connected to a computer and providing management with vests and the exchange of the information between a computer and player’s vests through the radiochannel;
- the universal bases (mine/target) installed in a labyrinth and hitting through the given interval of time when the player is situated in a zone of mine’s action. The base can be deactivated on the given interval of time by shooting at it.

We are addressing all the laser tag enthusiasts asking for their help in creating the true world’s laser tag display. If you can help – please, contact either the ILTA staff (mitchlasertag.org / +1 317-786-9755) or TRUTNEE Administration (trutneenarod.ru). Your help will be much appreciated.
